We kicked off our newly established research unit iMAGO at the Schneefernerhaus, right below the summit of the Zugspitze. During a two-day retreat, members of all groups came together, to get to know each other, introduce their projects, discuss ongoing and further collaborations and share common research interests. The presence of researchers from different fields, such as engineers, biophysicists, biologists, medical doctors, nutritionists, and biotechnologists led to lively and inspiring discussions that have left a long-lasting impression.  

We were able to set our ultimate goals for our first year of funding and initiate additional collaborations. The Kick-off was the ideal meeting to bring all team members together and welcome all our newly recruited team members. Due to the hybrid format of our meeting, even the quarantined members were able to join.
